Parking Lot Design Projects

Christus Schumpert Highland Hospital:

This firm was responsible for the design and layout of the parking lots for Highland Hospital when it was originally constructed in 1997. This included the initial layout work, as well as surveying and subdividing the property to suit the specific needs of the hospital. Highland Hospital is presently located on a Twenty acre site at the intersection of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop and Millicent Way. This is also across the street from the Tinseltown movie theatre in Shreveport, Louisiana. The firm has been retained through the years by the Hospital administrators for additional work on newer additions to the hospital. This included multiple parking lot additions to complement new building additions to the hospital, as well as more specialized projects like a new helipad and water line designs. A new Three acre parking lot was completed in 2014, and the West Annex Addition parking lot completed in 2015.

Hilton Garden Inn Hotel:

The new hotel was to be located along a frontage road of Interstate 20, near the Pines Road intersection in Shreveport, Louisiana. A&A designed the new concrete parking lot for the hotel. Other systems that were designed by the firm for this project included the new sanitary sewer, water, and storm water drainage system. Additionally a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Report was written for the project, as well as typical section designs for the construction phase. In addition to performing all the initial survey work for this project, it was necessary to resubdivide the property into a new subdivision. The firm produced the necessary plat, and filed the new subdivision with the courthouse to address all the project needs. Lastly the firm implemented the construction layout staking for these designs while the hotel was being built.

Bayou Walk Shopping Center:

A&A was commissioned for the design and layout of the parking lots for a new Bayou Walk Shopping Center. This new shopping center was to cover roughly Eighteen acres of land, east of Sand Beach Bayou. A&A was responsible for the drainage design of the entire shopping center as well. There were multiple facets of the design process for the new shopping center, dealing with several different unique projects. Some of the aspects of these projects included production of Topographic surveys, Typical Sections, Subdivision Maps that resubdivided the existing property into smaller lots, Storm drainage pipe design, Top of slab design, and Joint/Geometric/Utility layouts for the construction project. The Bayou Walk Shopping Center is presently located on the corner of East 70th Street and Youree Drive across the street from the Target Shopping center in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Column

Church at Red River:

A&A was selected to design a new parking lot for the new church facilities. The church is located on approximately a Six and a half acre site, along Flourney Lucas Road in Shreveport, Louisiana. The firm produced the top of slab design for the new asphalt parking lot, as well as the typical sections that were needed for the project. The company also addressed the storm water drainage design for the site, as well as produced a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan Report for the construction of the facilities. Another facet of the design that was needed for this project, was for Autoturn software to be utilized to insure design criteria met municipality requirements for delivery vehicles to enter and exit the parking lot. Plans were subsequently produced showing the drive path that these delivery vehicles would utilize.
